The Council of Sully Christian Reformed Church met Monday, March 16, to discuss how we should wisely respond to the constantly changing news regarding Covid-19. After considerable discussion, and in response to recent calls to action from Governor Reynolds and the Iowa Department of Health, we have decided that effective immediately, and without exception, all corporate gatherings are suspended for the next 4 weeks. The Council will be reviewing the conditions after 4 weeks and communicating the further plan at that time.
We want to stress our desire to take this virus seriously and our commitment to do our part to minimize the potential spread of the virus with a clear sensitivity to those most at risk in our church family and our community. As stated before, this is not driven by a sense of fear, but rather an appropriate respect for government actions, healthcare professionals, and a civic partnership.
